FAZE seems to be more popular and me have issues with the Yahooze too, as per the nomination and winner selection, I think the judges decisions are final.

There will always be another good song and musician and many awards to wins in many years too. Kudos to all winners and losers, you are all great Nigerians.

On account of what they had to offer, I think some of the awardees don’t really deserve what they got. Besides, what happened to ASA? That girl is fresh and exciting. Her album is just a whiff of what to expect from a serious and developing folksy artiste in the future. I expected her to have grabbed the best new artiste award, at least. Isn’t it evident that her album is enjoying so much attention from the pubic at present? Boy, ur judges kind of goofed on this one. My verdict on the event itself: low on glamour and quality attendance. chux

I really do appreciate the effort of the organisers and all the people that visited for the successfull of the just concluded Nigeria Musics Award held at Owerri ,I mo state capital.

But i am very dissapointed for the award given out to Best Video of the Year,Best Fuji artiste of the year and despite Asa nominated for almost all the categories she still not been awarded an award.

My own comment is just to tell the Organisers that they should out more effort for the projects,I mean that for the Best Video, the video should go to either P-square or Olu Maintain in which you gave it to Stylee,It was not the best at all?

Also for the Best Fuji artiste,Do you think that Dekunle fuji is a fuji artiste,he is just bearing the name Dekunle Fuji not what he sing is regarded as Fuji artiste. To be sincere with you,All the viewer did not agree on that because he is not a fuji singer.

I m very dissapointed also that the Nigeria artiste record that sales most abroad did not received any award and she was almost in all the category of the award.I mean Asa.

This is what i have to contribute to this from my own opinion.

    Akeem.

Why should the organiser give fuji award to Dekunle fuji..? that is madness of the highest order and i think the award should be retrieve from him because he is not a fuji musician. If the organisers want to give him any award to compesate been played regularly on TV and radio they should find a way out not with fuji award because his stage name correspond with fuji.
Pasuma and K1 still alive why dekunle fuji….the fuji award alone flop the whole show…

Well said, Akeem and Ayo! I do not for sure know how the selection and voting is done. I hope with the complaints, they will have to change the process and select awardees that have peoples’ input in the nomination and voting processes.

Above all, everyone seems to be praising the general organisation of the award ceremony and kudos to the Imo State government the host.

Kudos to the organizers, but something is still missing in this award of a thing, what did they call it “Nigeria Music Awards” isn’t so, but it seems the AJ musicial are been left out, this is wrong the organizers should do something about it, or is it that the full winners are being dispay?

Secondly Faze deserve an award bcos the guy is the bomb for the past yrs

I don’t really get it. Who does the nomination and who votes. Olu & D’banj sang rubbish and won awards, fine thier videos are ok but……….. Faze has been there, his videos are great, when he came out with his 1st album he wasnt nominated for the newest artiste.Tu face’s album is ok but very poor quality videos, P-square guys are great both audio and videos and many more. Someone like Samsong deserves the best vocalist (have u heard him sing). Having a unique voice doesnt make one the best.
Another thing is the playing of songs on air. Does an artiste have to lobby to get his song played?e.g SKY B . Never heard the guy’s songs played on lagos radios and TV.

@ Clovan; who does the nomination (?) who votes(?), that has been a recurring question here.
I think it is important PMAN disclose the criteria for nomination and voting. If they are forthcoming with it we will be making it public here.

Keep telling us what you think…….

There is no doubt the NMA is the flagship of all other awards and I did leaved to this status but one funny/strange development is the presence of the so called Nothingwood! sorry nollywood stars who were allover the place.
Are they short of script or planning going into music as some of the have tried without really making much impact.

I take consolation in the fact that my best Artist; home & abroad-Tu Face won award. He shall continue to shine like the constellations; like the stars above the earth. Nothing dey happen.

as for me i dont agree with some of those awards, any award done this year without asa having something is a crap.at times u get vexed up while watching this things u begin to imagine if money is been paid to collect this awards.as for ojb jezrel tell him to learn how to talk it seems he was talking out of jealosy and as for that award they gave i disagree with him for this year’s edition he’s good no doubt but for this year he’s out of it.and i dont think they should nice anew artist he his not new.this should be his second albulm i guess.he’s meant to be offered a better award than that.as for p square that was hot i agree with tht.as for that video thats total rubbish that was the same thing they did in hiphopaward08 and i disagree with it that video is just it nothing fantastic about it.hmmmmmmmmmmm na dem know as dem dey give their award ooooooooo.na dem noooooooooooooooooooooooo.

I think the Nigerian industry should atleast try and give audience to the upcoming artiste, they are many talented once out there with great change and impactation in the Nollywood industry, imagine i have an album but no one wants to listen to what i’ve got for the world and all they think about is the already made artiste, they were once like us,they did’nt just make it by them self, all am asking is for audience and a chance for the upcoming artiste like me.(THE UPCOMING ARTISTE NEED A CHANCE TO SHOW WHAT THEY’VE GOT)CURIOUS_COS_AM_REAL@YAHOO.COM.
