Nigerian Breweries Plc has unveiled plans for this year’s edition of its highly entertaining youth empowerment television reality show, “The Gulder Ultimate Search.”
The setting this year will be the “undulating plains of the Ogun Forestry Plantation, Project Area J4, Omo Forest Reserve in Ijebu East LGA, Ogun State.
The popular reality show in its seventh series is coming with a refreshingly new twist.Speaking at a press conference held in Lagos yesterday, Yusuf Ageni, Corporate Affairs Adviser of Nigerian Breweries Plc said the participants in the show are in for a raw deal as it has been designed in a way that the Nigerian TV audience would not only be entertained, but would have something to take away from it.“If the search for the ‘Horn of Valour’ and more importantly ‘Golden Goblet’ was very challenging and exciting, then, you haven’t seen anything yet. In line with our promise to always be at the forefront of innovation, the Ultimate show is coming to your screens once again but, this time, with a refreshingly new twist”, he emphasized.“ This search will not be for the faint-hearted, it will not be for the timid. Only the fearless and determined 10 will go into the woods of Project J4 Forest. Only these ‘League of Ultimate men’ will enter this forest so dense even sunlight struggles to permeate. These men and ladies will battle against nature and the wild. Only one will be crowned ‘The Ultimate Hero’.”
The winning prizes for GUS are unparalleled in the history of brand promotion in Nigeria. The brave individual who emerges as the ‘Ultimate Man/Woman’ will be rewarded with a cash prize of N7 million, a wardrobe allowance of N500,000 and a brand new SUV that is at the market value of N10 million.“The prizes are carefully chosen not only for the purpose of winning, but for the economic empowerment of the Nigerian youth. It is our way of contributing to the financial empowerment of the Nigerian youth, so that they can use their winnings to do something meaningful with their lives,” said Edem Vindah, Media and Public Affairs Manager, NBplc.

i am amicable, friendly and understanding but gets angry when someone tries to make me look stupid, hates it when people try to list your faults even though they have their own.

I would have love to paticipate in this yrs GUS but my exams is commencing this SEPT. i wish those pple that will paticipate in GUS VII 2010 a happy context and look up to next to fit in.

To all lover of adventure and those that have longed to feel nature in its wildest form, GUS is a perfect trail to follow. Yes it is but, it isn’t easy at all, the screening exercises were so tough and rigorous but, only the fittest and strogest can stand. So prepare well against next season. Until then…………

it is better this season and i think that bob is doing a nice job while contestants are not bad at all. To the issue of the stolen finger of banana, i think the Council of Elders needs to do something in order to forestall re-occurence of such act. Like Caroline said, how can something get lost amidst grown ups and nobody will say he/she knows about it? This is a reality tv show where endurance shle be d order of d day. just want to let GUS Concelle of Elders know that some times their decision doesn’t go well with some of us. Imagine the task that was given that leds to Mercy’s eviction atleast the elders should have put into consideration that all contestant are not of equal task and as such the shouldn’t have been any eviction that day. if the trend of losing is checked you will see that the all lost according to their height. well all the same the Elders have spoken, am just complaining incase of next time.
When is GUS going to hold COPORATE SEARCH for coporate worker? since the have done for the CELEBRETIES. please let us know cos most of us need am to shed of some facts. it should be as tough as the normal GUS not what was seen during the CELEBRETY SHOW DOWN.
